Inchie Art - St. Patrick's Day Theme

If I told you how old this frame is, you wouldn't believe me. Still had the price tag on it. I have two more I need to use, red & blue, round. Hello, my name is Molly and I'm a craft hoarder :)

I made this little inchie frame for the front entrance. It is small but fits perfectly in an empty spot.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Friday!

Inchie Art ~ Monday

It's a Blue Monday .. in the sense of hopefully blue skies, warm bright sunshine and a great start of the week for you! I decided to work on a blue inchie art project today. I used a 4-inch paper coaster and added a little bit of quilled color.

Everyone have a fantastic week! xo

I Spy Something Orange ...

and square!

This is an oldie but one of my favorite decorations :)

I love INCHIE ART, it is so easy! And the challenge of creating concept art with inch squares of paper is inspiring. Of course, the embellishing is the fun part!

The background is a Rob & Bob coaster by Provo Craft. And the eyeball? It is quilled; yes I like to make odd but practical pieces of quilling. I used black Distress Ink on the 1-inch paper square edges to make them look dimensional.

Have a wonderful end-of-October week!

"Inchies" Quilled Valentines

I made these little two-inch Valentine's Day cards with a silver embossed inchie, raised and embellished with quilling, punched hearts and a tiny red crystal. I stamped on white gloss paper for a little place to write a few words inside. The 1/8 inch quilling strips are silver gilded on edge garnet paper made in England. The shimmer of the silver is gorgeous in person. Click on the pictures to enlarge.

More Inchie Art

INCHIE ART

I posted a project in a Christmas in July chat party last week. I had no idea there was going to be a contest! YES I won, but I do believe I was the only one that posted a project :) Others offered ideas and recipes. I received a few suggestions for improvement and redid the card.

Here it is! This is a 5" x 6.5" corrugated card. I used a gold leafing pen around the edges of the cardstocks. I scored a 1/4" border around the red piece and added the gold cord bow.

I embellished with a few glitter pens and a black glaze pen to write the word joy. A simple idea for Christmas cards. I'm not sending this one, it is not centered. But then, imperfection adds character so who knows? Thanks for looking!

Inchie Art

Want to have some big fun with something small?

I love creating miniatures and usually work with quilling or polymer clay. However, 1" x 1" squares of paper [inchies] can make fabulous pieces of art. I keep a photo folder on my computer of colorful, creative and amazingly small collages that give me instant inspiration.

I was going to list my favorites bookmark links, but if you Google inchies, inchie cards, inchie blogs (you get the idea) there are a ton of links to get you started. The techniques, possibilities and ideas are endless. Enjoy!

If you are already into inchie art, check out the neat supplies at
Stampington & Company :o)

Have a safe and fun 4th of July holiday!
