Berry Boxes

click photos to enlarge

If you have stopped by before, you know that I absolutely LOVE hoarding collecting boxes and especially making them. I came across the cutest berry boxes and couldn't wait to make them last night. Before I show you my creations, I want to first give credit to Claire, the author of the blog, FellowFellow.  Her cute boxes, fabulous photos and fact sheets, in both inches and metric, can be found at the link below:

I used two-sided card stock paper from a K&Company pad. These are so easy to make (Claire has done all the measurements for you) and very sturdy.

I used my Martha Stewart score board since it has 1/8-inch increments. So little materials and tools are needed!

I made all the top strips 1" wide and they stayed on better. I also put a bit of glue under the edge on the side opposite where it is stapled.

These particular boxes are going in the fulfillment drawer to hold the items I use for shipping my Etsy orders. I have a few more to make plus I am attempting one twice the size of the large one .. for ribbons. I cannot wait to make some in bright summer colors, like Claire made, for the kitchen.

Thanks for stopping by!
Molly

P.S.  Made some more for my placing in my craft drawers.

Featuring ItsLorraine (Lori Mondell)

From the Archives:

I am beyond excited to again feature ItsLorraine's store items with you today.

Lori and I are Internet friends but have never met. She lives in Delaware and emailed me a while back after seeing my book in a Michaels store*. She is a mixed media artist, awesome seamstress and loves creating with paper. She has contributed quilled projects to magazines and has created many quilling kits for adult and childrens' kit-of-the-month clubs. We both have quilling projects in the book Quill It Easy.

Journals
Lori hand makes everything she sells. Her wire-bound, accessorized journals are purchased for travel, prayer lists, sketchbooks, daily notes, recipes, etc. The journals are just as gorgeous inside as the front and back covers.

Password Books
Another favorite that I own and use daily is the must-have WWW password book.  These are perfect to keep all kinds of computer-related notes you don't want stored on your computer. She makes a lot of masculine items and these little books make great gifts for the guys.

Cards/Card Sets
Speaking of guys, this cute baseball cap card is one of a set. She makes both individual greeting cards and sets. I can attest that all her cards are fine quality and made to perfection.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great TGIF and weekend!
~Molly

*My book is no longer sold at Michaels but can be found at Hobby Lobby stores!

Easy Pillow Boxes

Happy June!

If you are a regular follower, you already know I love making boxes, hoarding boxes and buying boxes of boxes :) I want to stop buying expensive boxes to ship my neon paper earrings and really don't want to make the two piece boxes either. So, I thought maybe pillow boxes would work but I couldn't find my template this week.

I found this short video and free printable FTP template by Jennifer .. via Twitter.

The two things I did differently from the video:
  • I used a clear tacky glue ...easier to move and get the edges even before the glue dries.
  • I also used the edge of a metal container to score the flaps.

These were SO easy!
I was able to print a watermark on the pink box - to personalize.

Thanks for looking and have a fantastic week!
 -Molly
