I made these paper daisies for rings. They would be perfect for cards, tags, etc. The gerbera daisy is the fifth most used cut flower in the world (after rose, carnation, chrysanthemum and tulip). When I opened my first quilling kit in the 70's, there was a regular corsage pin included. We are in the process of moving and the old craft room is next! I have a lot of quilling pieces in different containers. It is driving me crazy what to do with all of these! This is a favorite project that I came across recently. It was a paper clutch swap and this is the one I made.  There's that paper flower again that I promise to share a tutorial soon. Use the template to copy a front and back printed on 8.5" x 11" cardstock. I covered both sides of the templates with matching paper. I changed the size of my tall treat boxes for Halloween. Three candies in mini wrappers will fit into this box size perfectly. I used satin and wire ribbons, embroidery thread, puffed inchies, a fabric pumpkin sticker and foam spider stickers to decorate. I quilled these BIG flowers just as I would normal size pieces. Using the same shapes, same techniques- just a bit more glue than usual :o) I made them as table decorations for a quilling conference, many years ago. I found a new paper pad at Michaels called Autumn Afternoon by GCD Studios. The pages are printed and solid on the back. The weight is between paper and cardstock which I love. I used the front of a matching card to punch a retro flower for the back of the card that I made as the front. I used a 2" Whale of a Punch, burnished the backside to make a puffy flower and brushed on one coat of Beacon's Plastic Laminate. I added a tiny metal brad through the label before adhering it to the card. Don't like seeing those brad tails on the inside of a card. CLICK TO ENLARGE

These little girl purses were so easy to embellish. I ironed on heart appliques and sewed on bright buttons, using white seed beads. I bought the blank denim purse at Walmart for $2 something. I made these little two-inch Valentine's Day cards with a silver embossed inchie, raised and embellished with quilling, punched hearts and a tiny red crystal. I stamped on white gloss paper for a little place to write a few words inside. The 1/8 inch quilling strips are silver gilded on edge garnet paper made in England. I don't know about you, but I found many of these 50 All-Time Favorite New Uses for Old Things in Real Simple Magazine very inspiring :o) My favorite = the decorative drinking glasses with the window stickers on them so you can tell which one belongs to who. Much more classy than the usual colored rubber bands that I use around the soda cans when the grandkids are here!

I have three cards I enclose in with my Etsy sales package plus a note of thanks. I made these little holders in the same paper as my matchbook note holders that I also include.
